Antuit.ai commissioned a study of over 2000 UK consumers that shows that consumer behaviors changed during the pandemic due to a range of factors, some measurable in hard metrics while others were based more on instinct.
More importantly, the survey shows that many of those changes have been so profound that many are set to become habitual. 57% of consumers surveyed traded down from premium to own brand, while nearly 40% plan to stick with those choices post pandemic.
Bottom line: CPG companies that have been losing customers will need to develop smart new strategies to both win customers back and hold onto those they have.
